It has been quite a shocking week for Mzansi's farming sector. A ban on South African vegetable exports to Namibia and Botswana have agri leaders pleading for intervention. South Africa’s neighboring countries took a unilateral decision to block South African veggie crops such as peppers, tomatoes, cabbage. beetroot and potatoes from crossing their borders.
Agri SA now says that it has written to agriculture, land reform and rural development minister Thoko Didiza to request her urgent intervention.
