“We’ve got a lot of experience with the local market. We know how to meet all requirements for packaging and we make use of our own farms,” says director Nikunj Hudka. He is convinced that, when given the chance, he´d be able to fulfill the demands of their customers abroad.
According to Hudka, the Indian season for kesar mangoes has recently begun and will last for about two months. Ecplimpex sources its mangoes from all over India. He says the prices of mangoes are in general a little bit lower when compared to last year. As the season has only just begun, the prices are relatively high. As the season goes on, prices will decrease.
The quality of this season is better compared to other seasons, though Hudka admits that there were some delays. “The current weather conditions are great for producing mangoes. Rainy days directly influence the quality of the product. The quality of this year looks good and Ecplimpex shouldn’t encounter any problems while exporting.”
Hudka is very positive about the prospects for the Kesar mangoes. “Our mangoes can’t be compared to mangoes from other growing regions. They’re really sweet and they’ve got a great yellow color. We also improve the quality of our produce by not applying any pesticides. Our mangoes really are unique,” concludes Hudka.
