Blue Book Services Launches New Online Features

This year has been another defining one in Blue Book Services’ history. This spring, Blue Book’s industry-specific business reports were improved to provide Members further ease and convenience when evaluating an existing or potential new business partner. This summer, Blue Book Scores – the produce industry’s only industry-specific, predictive credit scores -- were provided to a larger segment of Blue Book Members to help sellers make more informed credit decisions. Now, Blue Book has launched several new features, enhancing Blue Book Online Services (BBOS), our award-winning online business application.

These new features allow Blue Book Members to customize their use of BBOS and include:
• Enhanced Notes to better track and share information with colleagues in an organization.
• Enhanced Watchdog Groups that allow a user to quickly assign and display custom flags on specific companies.
• New Blue Book Score graphic to immediately assess a company’s credit risk.
• New custom data fields to combine Blue Book information with your custom data.

These enhancements are part of an overall upgrade to the BBOS look and feel, though the familiar navigation to Blue Book’s web site remains the same. All of these improvements are included with most service levels Blue Book Services offers. “These new online enhancements give everyone in the supply chain – from grower/shipper to wholesaler/distributor, importer/exporter, retail and foodservice, or transporter to allied industry supplier – the increased ability to customize Blue Book information based on the needs of their specific job function,” enthused Jim Carr, President/CEO. “Our mission is to provide businesses in the global fresh produce industry with the best resources to succeed,” states Carr. “These new online features help fulfil this pledge.”
