"We support Chinese fruit brands by providing storage and sorting technology"

"China has abundant fruit resources, but there are not many good fruit brands. That's because China's fruit supply chain is still not perfect. It lacks a standardized production, a high level of planting and decent warehousing facilities. We want to use our CA equipment, sorting lines and storage equipment to commercialize primary products and provide a more balanced supply. So the good products can be continuously supplied to the market to meet consumption needs and reduce waste in fruit. In addition, we hope to support the establishment of a good Chinese fruit brand by providing our technology and knowledge," said Iris of Beijing Furuitong Technology Co., Ltd.

Beijing Furuitong Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 1996. Since 2008, they have cooperated with Dutch Storex to develop “controllable atmosphere” technology and establish CA storage projects in China and other Asian countries.

“Our core business is the development and control of several different fruits and vegetables through controlled atmosphere technology. However, our company is also trying to invest more money in the technology of the ripening room. In 2016, we collaborated with a Dutch company to jointly develop and promote ripening room technology in China. These ripening rooms are only suitable for certain products such as bananas, mangoes, kiwis and avocados, but there is still room in China's ripening room market. Several cities have a modern ripening room. Therefore, we see a lot of potential in this market and are willing to invest more time."

“Our company works with the Dutch company Storex and also with the Wageningen University. Together with these Dutch institutions, we research and develop CA storage technologies for certain Chinese products such as apples, melons, kiwis, etc. We not only research CA storage technology for Chinese companies, but also provide services for the company's entire production chain. From planting to warehousing, we can guarantee the quality of these products by providing growers with the right planting knowledge and standard storage and sorting operations. We also invested in and worked closely with some fruit companies, and also established a demonstration orchard to guide growers, provide good CA equipment and sorting lines to help them establish standard storage and quality control systems. By building a good fruit brand, it can increase the income of growers and meet the needs of consumers."
