Meetings among producers, traders and buyers are all being arranged through the digital platform Macfrut set up one month ago.
"Thanks to this tool, many meetings are arranged way in advance. Most buyers at Macfrut subscribed and our exhibitors can interact with them according to their needs," explains Export office manager Valentina Piraccini.
Valentina coordinates the export office and is a point of reference for foreign operators. Around 1500 buyers have been approved "also thanks to the collaboration with exhibitors. This made relationships easier and convinced many foreigners to take part in our fair. Once again, cooperation is the way forward."

Leading distributor chains, such as the German Rewe group, Edeka, Austrian Spar, Portuguese Jeronimo Martins, Polish Biedronka, Carrefour Romania and Lulu supermarket from the Arab Emirates will be taking part.
In addition, thanks to the first European summit of the Tropical Fruit Congress, the main tropical fruit importers from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and the UK will attend as well as the managers of the main Italian distribution chains. Other well-represented nations are China, Russia and Eastern Europe.
The support of ICE (Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalisation of Italian businesses) and Regione Emilia Romagna has been fundamental. Partners included UniCredit (main sponsor and business partner) and Coface.
Participating countries include Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Sudan Ethiopia, Uganda, Tunisia, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Honduras, El Salvador and Greece.
