CAMPOSOL acquires mandarin plantations in Uruguay

CAMPOSOL has just acquired approximately 1,000 hectares for citrus crops in the Department of El Salto in Uruguay; 500 productive hectares of mandarins that belonged to Citrícola Salteña S.A., and another 500 ha which will be developed. This operation, along with the more than 500 hectares of mandarins planted in Peru, will allow CAMPOSOL to offer mandarins to its clients with the same value proposal throughout the entire commercial window in the southern hemisphere.

This new international incursion is part of CAMPOSOL’s strategy for its consolidation as a world leader in the provision of fresh and healthy food. The company is already acknowledged by the main supermarkets of North America, Europe and Asia for its value proposition, which is based on the quality, consistency and traceability of its products, as well as the level of service it guarantees its clients, its vertical integration, and its model of sustainable and socially responsible production.

"We are very proud of CAMPOSOL, not only for the accelerated growth we have had in recent years, but for the innovation and differentiation we are bringing to the industry. Being in Uruguay will allow us to become a mandarin supplier throughout the commercial window of the southern hemisphere, and thus better serve our customers through our commercial platform in the USA, Europe and China," said Jorge Ramírez, CEO of CAMPOSOL.
