The family companies CARGOBOSS & van daalen have been located at the Transportcentrum Westland for over 25 years and are now led by the fourth generation. Aris van Daalen and Gerard van den Bos have been active in the branch for almost 20 years.
At the end of 2015 the companies bought the sheds and land from their neighbour. A number of sheds were demolished and the existing cooling house with 1600 pallet spaces, 7 docks and offices, was fixed up and prepared to be rented. Karsten Europe will make full use of this building.
At the start of October a start will be made on the construction of a crossdock warehouse. In this construction project, a conditioned warehouse with 12 dockshelters will be built, and is expected to be taken into use at the end of the first quarter of next year. Besides this the 'face' of CARGBOSS / van daalen transport will be built parallel to the main road, where drivers will have rest areas, showers, a living room and a kitchen.
The building was designed by Bogaerds Architecten Ingenieurs and will be built by Aanemingsmaatschappij Hofman-Maasdijk.
