With the extension of the logistics facility in Geel, Kuehne + Nagel will offer an expanded service portfolio especially to customers from the FMCG and pharma & healtchcare industries.

After the extension the warehouse and handling space comprises 77,000 sqm compared to 45,000 sqm when the logistics center came into operation in 2006. The new complex is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including ESFR sprinklers and a built-in emergency power supply system; goods can be stored up to 12,2 meters high. It complies with strictest security and environmental requirements, is LEED silver standard and TAPA C certified.

At its Geel logistics center Kuehne + Nagel handles end-to-end solutions for major international customers from different industries. The facility serves both as a European and global distribution center hub. Kuehne + Nagel is providing the full range of value added services next to storage, pick & pack and return activities especially for customers from the FMCG industry.

Kevin Nash, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel BeLux: “The expansion of the Geel logistics facility enables Kuehne + Nagel to further strengthen its contract logistics activities in Belgium. With the extension we responded to customer’s needs who benefit from the prime location in the heart of Europe and our extended service portfolio.“
