Flora Faro is part of Gruppo Faro, which owns 600 hectares in Riposto (CT). The nursery specialises in the multiplication and production of certified citrus plants destined to fruit-bearing groves. All growing environments are constantly monitored and checked. The company grafts approximately 300,000 citrus plants a year, many of which are of the pigmented Tarocco variety.

The entire production cycle takes place in facilities equipped with anti-insect nets guaranteeing high phytosanitary safety standards while respecting the environment and in compliance with eco-compatibility criteria. In addition to strict checks carried out by agronomists and technicians, the regional phytosanitary service also performs periodical checks.

Each single plant is therefore of certified quality, especially since the company's primary objective is to supply plants that are healthy with a guaranteed gene pool.

"The utmost phytosanitary safety is also guaranteed by our laboratory, which boasts state-of-the-art equipment and is run by expert researchers. The lab can carry out all types of analyses - from nematological tests to the diagnosis of diseases caused by fungi, bacteria and viruses."

Flora Faro is also committed to energy saving and producing clean energy from renewable sources to fight pollution. A few years ago, it obtained the international MPS certification for having significantly reduced its water and electricity consumption and for having reduced the input of harmful substances into the environment.
