Handling is based on specific client demands, the company has therefore not only improved the service for its sales channel, but it is also capable of forecasting specific needs.

"Our deep knowledge of the citrus fruit sector helped us develop solutions that meet current market demands. We always have the produce our habitual clients require," explains owner Armando Albanese.

Alba Lemon Bio collects produce from 20 associates and many other growers.

"We hold all the certifications to provide final consumers with fruit that is organic and natural. I'm sorry to say many lemons are nowadays treated and therefore not as genuine as they should be. We have the BioAgriCert, GlobalGap and Limone di Siracusa Igp certifications."

The company grows citrus fruit on over 250 hectares and "meets the expectations of our most demanding consumers, among which are the Eurospin, Pizzi Osvaldo, Veritas Bio Frutta and Stokrotka supermarkets."

Alba Lemon Bio Soc.Coop. Agr. produces and commercialises around 800 tons of citrus fruit every year.

The lemon grove is located not far from the Oasi faunistica di Vendicari natural reserve, where biodiversity is queen and where the land benefits from the proximity to the Mediterranean.

The produce is distributed not only to Italian retailers (320 tons) but also to foreign ones, mainly in Poland (240 tons) and Germany (80 tons). The rest goes to France, Austria and Slovenia.
