Macfrut increasingly an international event
This year's edition was even more international: 25% of visitors came from abroad, just like 23% of exhibitors (+30%). Over 40 countries look part from all of the five continents. This year's edition of Macfrut focused on internationalisation and was a testament of the fact that the event is becoming a true hub at the service of companies operating in the fresh produce sector.
Foreign visitors were 9,890 (25% of the total 39 thousand who entered the fair). There was an increase of visitors from Eastern Europe (35% of the total, +4% compared to 2016) and Africa (12%, +3%). Other foreign visitors came from Europe (23%), Middle East (8%), South America (7%) and other countries (15%).
