China: Hainan pineapple market bullish

At the beginning of March, as the weather is getting warmer, a large number of local pineapples ripen early due to artificial factors. Currently the market price is rising and the supply is limited. There are about 50 thousand acres of pineapples in Wangning city of Hainan province. The main species is the Bali pineapple. Some have already been shipped out of the island, some were purchased by merchants and the rest are still kept by the farmers. As the market is expected to rise in the next month, farmers are reluctant to sell their stored pineapples.
