The similar histories, business models, strategic visions and culture of the two companies favoured the assessment of the opportunities generated by the alliance.
The two families who control the companies' capitals - Calcagni and Noberasco - supported a discussion table between the managers working on the agreement.
They have therefore created a consortium, the Italian Nut & Fruit Alliance, equally controlled by Besana and Noberasco.
The project's main objective is to create industrial synergies favoured by the complementarity of the two companies (Noberasco focuses on fruit and Besana on nuts) and the development of new markets.
Nothing will change in the relationship with the current clients, which will continue to be managed autonomously by the two companies.
