In 2016, Natura Iblea introduced "Sesame from Ispica" in cooperation with Slow Food.
Sesame has been part of the Sicilian tradition ever since it was introduced by the Arabs and the local produce has always been considered of better quality than the imported one.
Sesame seeds are extremely healthy due to their vitamin, mineral and natural oil content, as well as for their organic compounds of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, magnanese, copper, zinc, fibre thiamine, vitamin B6, folates, protein and tryptophan.
