Ibérica de Patatas to present its new brand

Ibérica de Patatas, leader in the marketing of potatoes in Spain, will present its new brand, La Auténtica Patata Especial Castiza, at Fruit Attraction, in Madrid; a product that stands out for its high quality and freshness. The Castiza potato, whose season lasts from July to October, also bears the distinctive "M Certified Product", which serves to identify quality foods, produced and processed in the Region of Madrid.
 
The new potatoes from the Region of Madrid bring back the flavour of traditional potatoes; they are fresh and of high quality, ideal for any culinary use. Moreover, given the short time between harvesting and marketing, the potatoes keep their nutritional properties and taste intact. They will be marketed washed and in 3 kilo bags.
 
Ibérica de Patatas first introduced the new potato from Madrid to distribution channels two years ago and it is now strengthening its commitment to this product with the launch of its own brand, which will contribute to improve its value.
 
The trading volume of this product stands at around 400,000 kilos per year, while Madrid's total new potato production amounts to about 2,000,000 kilos.

Ibérica de Patatas will be attending the fair Fruit Attraction for the seventh consecutive year and will have a 128m2 stand. The fair will also serve as a stage to present its latest investments worth more than half a million Euro.
 
With these investments, Ibérica de Patatas consolidates its strategic commitment to innovation, which has led it to establish itself as the leading company in Spain for the marketing of potatoes for consumption, with sales that in 2015 amounted to 126 million kilos.
