Fruta Royal launched in Barendrecht

Marijn Kruidenier launched Fruta Royal in this summer. “I would like to distinguish myself with products from Egypt and Central America, where I work directly with the source,” says the importer. Fruta Royal is established in the heart of the Dutch fresh produce business in Barendrecht.

Unloaded Greek grapes

Yesterday, the first products arrived at Fruta Royal, consisting of the Greek Thompson seedless grapes from the Peloponnesos region. From mid September, Fruta Royal will have crimson seedless grapes from the north of Greece. The first Egyptian sweet potatoes and pomegranates will arrive in 1.5 to 2 weeks, the Mexican bananas and limes will arrive later.

“We will source the complete assortiment from Egypt. We are starting with pomegranates and sweet potatoes, and we will complete the assortiment during the season with citrus fruits, grapes, and strawberries,” concludes Marijn.
