Unica Group exceeds 253 million kilos and will continue growing

Unica Group's spectacular growth continues and on 21 June it already beat its expectations for the current campaign, exceeding 253 million kilos and with the summer months still ahead before the end of the campaign, so this figure will continue to increase. These are magnificent results, widely exceeding the 222 million kilos achieved last season, as well as the prospects made at the start of the campaign of reaching 250 million kilos.



Growth until June is very significant for almost all products. The most remarkable is the case of the organic, for which figures have already doubled, but also worth noting are those reached by peppers, with a 22% growth, watermelons, with 18% and aubergines, with 53%, among other products. In this line, last year's results were already reached by May, and the most optimistic prospects were exceeded a month later, demonstrating that Unica Group's model of concentration works and is a guarantee of success. It should be stressed that these figures are just until 21 June, so when the campaign comes to an end, on 30 September, they will have improved even further.

Unica Group is clearly export-oriented and thus 90% of its products are sold abroad; a trend that continues to grow every year. Germany is the main destination, with 30% of the exports, followed (in this order) by Poland, France, the UK, Scandinavia and the Netherlands. In this regard, Poland is the destination recording the most growth this campaign, with the number of shipments to this country increasing fivefold.

Unica Group consists of the cooperatives Cabasc, Casur, Cohorsan, Cota 120, El Grupo, Ferva, Parque Natural, Agrolevante and Parafruts, and from next season, these will be joined by Camposol.
