Rijk Zwaan Hellas officially opened
On Friday, 27 of May, Rijk Zwaan Hellas celebrated its official opening together with more than 150 growers, dealers and other partners from Greece and Holland. The event took place in the central office and the trial station in Ierapetra, on the Island of Crete.
Rijk Zwaan Hellas is the 32nd subsidiary of Rijk Zwaan, a vegetable breeding company with 2500 employees worldwide. On 1 January 2016, Rijk Zwaan Hellas took over the sales activities previously handled by the Rijk Zwaan distributor Agrosystem.
“Our own subsidiary will enable our breeders to respond to the needs of the Greek market even more quickly and it will also improve the availability of information for the entire chain,” said Marco van Leeuwen, Rijk Zwaan's Managing Director, about the takeover. “Hence, the opening of Rijk Zwaan Hellas will help us to expand our product assortment and launch varieties even faster.”
