The family business Demargro has been devoted to the export of fruit and vegetables for over forty years. "We are year-round leek specialists. The sale of this vegetable has increased dramatically in recent years. In 2015, we sold more than 9,500 tonnes of leeks across Europe," explains owner Guy de Meyer.

Demargro Bvba exports the full range of Belgian fruit and vegetables. "Our team of salespersons, quality inspectors, packers, warehouse workers and drivers ensure that large volumes of goods reach many different customers across Europe. During the summer months, there are plenty of shipments of tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and lettuce to various destinations."

Own packing station

Besides these vegetables, the firm also supplies strawberries and cherries. "Our buyers and quality control operators ensure that the best quality at the right price is offered every day. Every customer is always properly informed about what is or is not available in the different classes. Furthermore, we also have our own packing station with different packing machines which allow us to pack many different types of fruit and vegetables in accordance with the customer requirements. In the coming years, we want to continue working together with the customs and continue growing and innovating with new packaging and products."
