Valagro announces the opening of its new Chinese branch at New Ag in Beijing

Valagro, a leading company in the production and sale of biostimulants and speciality fertilizers, announced the opening of its Chinese branch during the 14th edition of New Ag International, an event dedicated to companies working in the hi-tech agricultural sector that takes place every year in Beijing, in the heart of the Chinese market.

The new branch, Valagro (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd., is located in Shanghai and will be managed by Country Manager Derek Fang.

"With the opening of the Chinese branch, we are taking another step to expand on the Far East market and establish ourselves at an international level. Together with India, China represents a strategic market for Valagro - the great expansion of the Chinese agricultural market is driven by the need for high yields to meet the demand for food of a population that is growing rapidly," explains CEO Giuseppe Natale.

Among the numerous speakers that will intervene during New Ag conference, Valagro Global Marketing Director Benoit Genot will explain how biostimulants can contribute to the productivity of the agricultural sector by combining innovation and sustainability in a dynamic market such as the Far Eastern one.

"China, and more generally the Asian market, is registering a quick and substantial development of state-of-the-art technologies and modern agricultural techniques with greater attention towards sustainability. As Asian producers gain access to biostimulants, they will be able to increase their yields while improving quality and effectiveness and reducing environmental impact. Valagro intends to satisfy these needs thanks to its constant commitment and R&D aimed at developing highly innovative and effective solutions for different nutritional needs."

Recalling the recent launch of Valagro Academy, Genot added that "in order to meet the various needs of our clients, we are also looking to provide professional technical support to create an increase knowledge on the world of plant nutrition and biostimulants and on how Valagro specialities can improve crop performances to make agriculture more efficient and sustainable."

A challenge that Gruppo Valagro sees as a great opportunity to grow, as shown by the recent acquisition of the Indian bio-pesticide company Sri Biotech Laboratories India Ltd., which provides a logistics and productive platform for the whole of Asia enabling Valagro to strengthen its position in a strategic geographical area.
