France: Savéol’s 3,000m2 research and development site

It took the cooperative, Savéol 30 years to become leaders in French tomato production. Following 13 months of works and costing €4.5 million, their new headquarters in Plougastel-Daoulas have been inaugurated.

The new 3,000m2 building is partly red, a reminder of their main products -strawberries and tomatoes. The 80 employees in the building work in a variety of fields including logistics, research, marketing and agronomy. Savéol chose to work exclusively with 20 or so Finister-based companies for the works, from start to finish. Roger Capitaine, Director of Savéol, says that “These new headquarters are a sign of Savéol’s confidence in the future”.
