In 2015, the prices of fruits in Hainan experienced a much smaller increase compared to the previous year. The main reason behind this is:
1,the price of bananas fell by 0.61%, suppressing the overall inflation of fruitprices in general.
2, the prices of other fruits also experienced differentdegrees of decrease.
Furthermore, the weather conditions in Hainan werefavourable in 2015, resulting in a general bumper harvest for tropical fruits. Onthe other hand, imported fruits are also in a high growth phase. These factorskeep the market supply ample and choices plentiful, limiting price inflation.
