Schrijvershof moving to Cool Port
The countdown has started … In mid-2017
Schrijvershof will be moving to its new location
in Cool Port. Cool Port is the new Kloosterboer
cold-storage facility, strategically located in the
Eemhaven port in Rotterdam. Its wealth of water,
rail and road connections gives Cool Port direct
access to the deep-sea terminals of the Maasvlakte,
the surrounding Greenports and the European hinterland. Besides having a cold storage capacity of 35,000 pallets, the logistical hub has modern facilities for packing, sorting and ripening fruit.
For Schrijvershof, Cool Port is the ideal logistical location, that provides not only room to grow, but more importantly, the opportunity to fully focus on its core operations: sourcing and sales, quality control and food safety; and making the supply chain more and more sustainable.
The move to Cool Port is an auspicious one for Schrijvershof, a family business that has invested in its relationships with growers and buyers for over 80 years. Together with these growers, Schrijvershof is continually working on quality, innovation and optimising the chain.
If you’d like to find out more about Schrijvershof, you can visit them at Fruit Logistica in Berlin on 3, 4 or 5 February. They’ll be at stand C-09 in hall 3.2. There will also be a copy of the 2016 edition of the Schrijvershof associates’ magazine ‘The Grapevine’ waiting for you.
