CDFA Referendum vote for CAC operations due by Feb 29

As required by state law, the California Department
of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) is conducting a
referendum vote among California avocado
growers to determine whether California Avocado
Commission (CAC) operations should be re-approved
and continued for the next five years. The Commission
encourages all eligible growers to participate in the referendum vote.

Ballots will be mailed to growers on January 29. Eligible growers who do not receive a ballot by February 5 should contact CAC at +1 949.341.1955+1 949.341.1955. In order to be valid, ballots must be postmarked no later than February 29, 2016 or received by the CDFA at the close of business on February 29.

The CDFA will report the results of the referendum in early March 2016.
