Windset Farms sponsors BC Children’s Hospital

Windset Farms® is once again supporting children in BC with its sponsorship of two of BC Children’s Hospital’s major events, the Miracle Weekend telethon and ChildRun, which take place on May 30 and 31.

Windset Farms will also contribute a portion of proceeds from specially marked products sold in May. Last year, the family-run farm sponsored a Miracle Hour during the telethon and their team raised additional funds as members of the Miracle Maker Panel. Funds raised at these events are used to support and enhance pediatric care in BC. In addition to the event sponsorship, Windset Farms is donating 10% of net proceeds from the sale of specially marked packages of Concerto® Grape Tomatoes and Fresco® Mini Cucumbers sold in British Columbia. For the family-run company, BC Children’s Hospital is a great fit. “We love how events such as Miracle Weekend and ChildRun promote a healthy lifestyle, while bringing the community together,” says John Newell, Chief Operating Officer of Windset Farms. “Giving back to the community is something our whole company feels strongly about and we want to thank everyone for their support,” he adds.

Specially marked packages can be found in retail stores throughout British Columbia for the month of May. Look out for the BC Children’s Hospital blue and orange stickers!

About BC Children’s Hospital

BC Children’s Hospital is the province’s only full-service acute-care hospital dedicated to serving close to one million children living in BC and the Yukon. All children who are seriously ill or injured are referred to Children’s Hospital and are either treated at the hospital facility in Vancouver or, with consultation from Children’s specialists, in their home community. Last year, more than 84,000 children were treated at Children’s Hospital. Funds raised by BC Children’s Hospital Foundation are used to support BC Children’s Hospital, its research institute and Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children.
