UK: Jaffa Juniors Tour commences

Leading citrus supplier, Jaffa has embarked on a nationwide tour to teach children where their food comes from. Working as part of the Tesco Eat Happy campaign, the brand will be visiting Key Stage 1 and 2 children across schools nationwide.

Launching this week (w/c 13.04.2014), the newly formed ʻJaffa Juniorsʼ will be
delivering lessons to educate children on citrus producing countries, the lifecycle of an orange and incorporating fruit as part of a healthy diet.

Stated Jaffa spokesperson Roy Van Grevenbroeck; ʻThe Tesco Eat Happy Project is a fantastic scheme encouraging children to have a healthier and happier relationship with food and weʼre pleased to be able to give our support. Tesco Eat Happy provides us with a unique opportunity to engage with schools and teach children the importance of a well balanced diet from an early ageʼ.

The Jaffa Juniors have been designed to resonate with children aged 4–11 and are made up of Healthy Hetty, Happy Harry and Honest Harvey.

A range of materials has been produced featuring the team including stories,
recipe ideas, things to do and quizzes. Further teaching materials are also available to schools taking part in the scheme.

Further details of the tour can be found at www.jaffa.co.uk.
