Innovative method for plant diseases

This month the Stockton Group, an Israeli company specializing in the development and commercialization of bio-pesticides based on plant extracts, and its product Timorex Gold, visited Finca El Cascajal. The visit was also accompanied by Pasfesa, Nutribysa, and Kayros agro-service owners, agricultural and coffee grower specialists.

Finca El Cascajal works in the coffe industry. However some plant diseases are similar to diseases in the horticultural sector. "When we visited the fields of Finca El Cascajal where Timorex Gold had been applied. The plants were well-nourished and the results was more than satisfactory controlling various fungal coffee diseases at the same time. We can classify it as excellent," explains Luis Martinez Jordán from Finca El Cascajal.

"Interestingly, in one of the fields where Timorex Gold was applied, we observed a plant that showed three different diseases on its leaves: Rust, Cercospora and Phoma, and all three diseases were controlled by Timorex Gold."
