“Made in France” Legulice builds production unit

Over 5 years, Legulice (€11 million turnover in 2013) has become the second largest French player on the fresh mushroom market. In response to a consumer demand for French origin and a market growth, the young company created in 2009 is setting up a production unit in Poiley, Ille et Vilaine. This is a €6.5 million investment, within which Legulice, via their bank partners, has devoted €2 million to the process. The building (€4.5 million) will be financed by Louvigné Community. This will be owned by Legulice as they pay them back.

The 10,000m² Poilley unit will be operational in March-April 2015 and should produce 3,000 tons of fresh mushrooms as of the first year, to which 4,500 tons imported from Ireland will be added.
