Holfeld Plastics Limited acquired by Par-Pak Europe

Effective from September 4th 2014, Par-Pak Europe (PPE), a member of the USA based Waddington Group, has acquired 100% of the shares of Holfeld Plastics Limited.

The acquisition of Holfeld Plastics enables the Waddington Group to continue its rapid expansion across a range of market sectors.

PPE are a well-established thermoforming packaging manufacturer, based in Milton Keynes, England. PPE work extensively within the Bakery Sector but service other markets including Dairy and Medical.

Formed by Edmund Holfeld in 1978, Holfeld Plastics has gained recognition as a significant manufacturer of thermoformed packaging in both Protein and Produce Sectors. Following this acquisition, Edmund will be leaving the company to pursue his many outside commercial and leisure interests and he will continue to own and develop the Avoca River Park. The existing Senior Management Team will be continuing in their current roles.

"We believe that this acquisition creates exciting opportunities for the continued development and expansion of both Holfeld Plastics and PPE. Our combined product range and merged technical resources enhancing our capacity to serve the needs of our existing and potential new market sectors," said Kevin Ingram, Managing Director.

"PPE and Holfeld Plastics already share the same values and a commitment to customer service excellence and innovation. By combining our strengths, we are convinced we can bring you new opportunities supported by on-going investment in R&D, materials technology and increased thermoforming capability."
