"Nico Schaft: "Boot limes come by air"

New harvest of Brazilian limes from 888 Fruit Company

888 Fruit Company has new Brazilian limes in. The first containers from Cool Control in Maasdijk arrived yesterday. "We started with a new supplier and we have already received limes via air. Due to the good quality of the limes we will continue on with boot limes," says Nico Schaft, who gets a new supply weekly.

The Brazilian limes are usually available year round. Due to the bad weather in Mexico less limes were arriving on the European market, which has created a recent demand for the Brazilian limes. "Right now there is no surplus, but everything is going well," says Nico. The most important lime customers are wholesalers and suppliers of large retailers.
