Chanterelle supply less due to drought

Drought and high temperatures in the cultivation areas of Chanterelles in Poland, the Baltic states and Russia are clearly showing their effect now, the German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) reports on its website. Supply quantities to Germany have decreased, and wholesale supply is also less.

Halfway through week 32, the average wholesale price in Germany was between 9.00 and 11.40 Euro per kg, that's between 14 and 36% higher than the previous week's levels. The current price level is significantly higher than in the last ten years. Negative effects of the higher prices on demand haven't been noticed yet.
