Gilbert Dankuah Smith and Justice Ganaku represent the Juki Nuts company. According to Justice, the company is adding value to the processing of cashew nuts in Ghana in order to eliminate the equivalent of 12 weeks of shipment where the product is processed in India before being exported to Europe. Juki Nuts currently exports to Egypt and the Ivory Coast, but managed to find leads in Europe during Fruit Logistica.

Renwick Wachenyuka and Similo Nkala from Zimbabwe-based Zimtrade. Zimtrade exports citrus fruit, mainly oranges, avocados and chilli, to Europe and the UK.

Marta Costa and Helio Ferreira of Portugese fresh produce exporter Granfer. They export pears, apples, stone fruit, sweet potatoes and avocados to Europe, Africa and the Americas.

Marcin Plociennikowski and Ewa Garstka of Gryzbmar. They export mushrooms from Poland. They stated that its been a tougher season. They export their mushrooms to the UK and France, mainly.

Roland-Edwin Klauibert of Green Peas, they produce peas and sugar snaps in Denmark and Portugal, and export them to Finland, Denmark, France and the Czech Republic.

Fernando Isidoro of Portuguese produce exporter Coopval. They expport apples to Brazil, Germany, the UK, Morocco and France.

Sandra Machado of Portuguese soft fruit exporter Bfruit. They export their produce to the Netherlands, the UK, France, Spain and Belgium.

Marco were back again this year bringing the Super Select Master, a 12 pan combi weigher which can handle a wide range of products including delicate products due to the low drop height.

Red Pack brought their tray sealer with integrated deck weigher to the show. Giles Briston, Lukasz Druzkowski, Charlie Fletcher, Jason Knowles and Matthew Briston were on the stand.

Packaging Automation have an update for the Evolution and have launched Red 5 a high-speed packing machine with clever features. Scott Robuck and Chris Eckert were on the stand.

Owned by a Kuwait-based group, this company runs hydroponics operations in Egypt, producing herbs and lettuce for the Gulf and European markets. This is the company's 1st year in production, yet its second year as an exhbitor at Fruit Logistica.

Mohamed Ashraf, from the export department of Mafaza, an Egyptian exporting company. Mafaza's catalogue includes blueberries, citrus, asparagus and dates destined mainly to the European market.

Mohamed Mousa, General manager, and Nehad Abdelaziz, export manager of Ragab Farms, owned by Noubaria agricultural development company. They grow table grapes, citrus, and pomegranates for the European, Middle Easterns and Far Eastern markets. Ragab farms introduced avocados 2 years ago and are planning to launch blueberries on a commercial level next season.

Yasmine Abdelghaffar and Nihal Abdelghaffar hosted the Accretive Corp Agriculture (Atfa) stand. This Egyptian company exports medjool dates, mangoes, strawberries, grapes, custard apples to Europe and the Far East. This is their second appearance at Fruit Logistica.

Ahmed Adel, Mahmoud Adel, and Ahmed El Nemr, from Egyptian company Premiere Agri Investment. Ahmed Adel, CEO, shared that the company is growing citrus on 1300 acres, and has invested in the Sixth of October project in Egypt. He also announced the forthcoming opening of a sales office in Rotterdam.

Ahmed El-Ayouty, CEO of Tiba Farms, exports citrus, berries and onions to Europe and Asia. The company is also launching raspberries and blueberries on a commercial scale for the first time this season. This is its first time exhibiting at Fruit Logistica.

Hassan Al-Ahmed, and Omran Al-Ahmad of Dery Fruit. This Egyptian company exports citrus fruit to Russia and Ukraine, as well as to India, the Gulf countries, and certain markets in Eastern and Central Europe. During Fruit Logistica, the company was able to close contracts with buyers in Italy, France and Germany, reveals Hassan, says Hassan.

Reem Almansoori, post harvest manager at Elite Agro, one of the few Emirati companies exhibiting at Fruit Logistica this year. Elite Agro produces blueberries, dates and other products for Europe, Asia and the Gulf countries.
