Almeria
Aubergine greenhouses are beginning to harvest, with early plots in full production.
Some zucchini plantations have already been uprooted after their productive cycle ended. Others are still being harvested, and some have just been transplanted and covered with thermal blankets to protect them from the cold and potential whitefly attacks.
In Nijar, tomatoes are still in the vegetative growth stage, and harvesting is widespread. Excess heat has sometimes affected fruit quality, leading to rapid growth at the expense of quality.
Cadiz
In the Northwest Coast region, greenhouses are growing green and red Italian peppers, with green ones being the most common, and average prices range from 60 to 85 cents.
In Sanlúcar and Chipiona, transplanted zucchini are in the vegetative growth phase and are watered every other day for fifteen minutes. The drop in nighttime temperatures, which have reached 8ºC, has slowed crop development.
Huelva
In the strawberry fields, cleaning has been completed, structures reinforced, and protective plastic replaced in various areas. The initial shoots are still emerging.
Sanitation work continues in raspberry fields, and the autumn raspberry harvest is ongoing in Condado Litoral and Condado Campiña, with strong yields and favorable prices.
Malaga
On the coast, round and flat green beans are being harvested, with the Garrafal Oro variety standing out.
Zucchini is increasingly appearing in market gardens, with some fruits being discarded and prices remaining average.
French cucumbers, found in regions like Torrox, fetch higher prices than zucchini. Greenhouse tomatoes are producing abundant fruit during ripening, with varieties such as Pera and Liso currently being harvested.
