Brazilian vegetable exports rise 66.7 percent

Brazil's latest container export data shows strong performance in fresh produce, with vegetable shipments up 66.7% and fruit exports rising 11.8% from January to October 2025 compared with the same period in 2024. Despite tariff pressure from key partners, overall container exports grew 1.2% in the ten months and 7.3% in October alone. China and the United States both posted declines as destinations, while India grew 35.3% and is now the fourth-largest market. On the import side, volumes rose 5.4% year-to-date, though October fell 10.9% year-on-year. Among Brazil's neighbors, exports to Argentina increased 8.8% and imports from the country surged 64.9%, reflecting improving regional trade activity.
