The global economic crisis has affected many companies in Türkiye, and the latest to join this list is Saraylım Tarım. The company, known for its production and export of fresh fruits and vegetables, has filed for bankruptcy, citing financial difficulties.
The 4th Civil Court of Çorum reviewed the application and decided to extend the company's previously granted three-month temporary protection period by an additional two months.
The decision was broadened to include not only Saraylım Tarım, but also four companies and their partners within the same group.
The court has postponed the critical hearing, expected to shape the course of the bankruptcy process, to January 28, 2026. During this session, authorities will evaluate whether the company can successfully undergo restructuring, which will determine the future of the firms involved.
Founded by an engineering family in Çorum, Saraylım became a recognized brand, exporting fresh fruits and vegetables sourced from 35 provinces across Türkiye to 25 countries.
However, publicly available financial data shows that despite generating profit from net sales in 2023, the company experienced a decline in net profit. This trend is viewed as an indication of ongoing financial difficulties.
