An agriculture official in Iran's Mazandaran Province reports that the region exported 1,449 fruit shipments on November 29, including kiwifruit, tangerines, and oranges. Asadollah Teymouri Yansari, acting head of the Agriculture Department in Mazandaran, shared the figures during a meeting of the Mazandaran Agricultural Council in Sari.
According to Teymouri Yansari, the fruit exported on that single day weighed more than 29,000 tons. He said 616 shipments of kiwifruit, totaling 12,939 tons, left the province. Of these, 246 shipments were sent to India, and the remaining volumes moved to other markets.
He added that 393 shipments of tangerines, amounting to 7,827 tons, and 440 shipments of oranges, weighing 8,931 tons, were also exported on the same date.
Teymouri Yansari noted the role of non-oil exports within Iran's current economic framework. He stated that the scale of the November 29 shipments shows progress in implementing resistance economy policies. He added that expanding exports supports production, increases farmer income, and contributes to employment across the value chain, from orchards to logistics.
