Enbox (World Vypmar, S.L.) has formalized the purchase of New Serco, S.L.'s production unit, a company specializing in containers and packaging for the fruit and vegetable sector. Led by brothers José Luis and Marcelo Vázquez Ariza, this move allows Enbox to accelerate its expansion plan and strengthen its proximity network with growers by opening two new centers in Vícar (Almería) and Manzanares (Ciudad Real), with an annual capacity of 15.5 million boxes and 21 million cardboard tubs. It marks a key step in its strategy: being closer to growers, enabling faster service during the season, and ensuring greater sustainability across the supply chain.

"We are integrating capabilities, talent, and proximity. Integrating New Serco's production unit helps us reach areas where assembled cardboard logistics matter most and expand our offerings with pallets and wood to provide a comprehensive fruit and vegetable packaging service," stated José Luis Vázquez, CEO of Enbox.
The assembled carton is space-consuming and most efficient over short distribution distances; for this reason, Enbox supports a decentralized structure of assembly centers near customers, reducing kilometers traveled, lead times, and environmental impact.
Enbox will continue to focus on customers and suppliers, coordinating operational efforts to guarantee product availability, meet deadlines, and uphold quality standards during the season.
What New Serco brings to the table:
- Complementary portfolio: cardboard boxes, wood, pallets (new and recovered), and cardboard trays and tubs.
- Establishment: Vícar (Almería), consolidating the Mediterranean region, and activity in Manzanares (Ciudad Real), expanding coverage in the Southern Plateau.
- Sectoral experience: focus on fruit and vegetables and related packaging and palletizing services.
José Luis Forte, owner of New Serco, stated that this operation ensures the continuity of all staff members who are part of the company's family, as well as maintaining customer service as it has for the past 20 years.
M&A Valfut, a firm specializing in M&A transactions in the agri-food sector, advised New Serco on this deal.
"Our objective is clear: to be closer, faster, and more sustainable. With New Serco, we strengthen the comprehensive offering of boxes, tubs, and pallets, and support our clients in essential campaigns with improved supply security," stated José Luis Vázquez.
