Chiquita has announced the addition of 1,000 new 40HC refrigerated containers to its logistics network, as part of a supply agreement with Dutch Container Merchants (DCM).

The new reefers are equipped with Carrier Transicold OptimaLine refrigeration systems and Controlled Atmosphere technology, designed to maintain optimal conditions for transporting perishable goods such as bananas.

According to DCM, the agreement reflects ongoing demand for advanced container technology supporting temperature-sensitive cargo. The company provides container leasing and sales solutions to clients across the global fresh produce and logistics sectors.
