Catalytic Generators continues to strengthen its global presence with back-to-back participation in two of the industry's leading trade shows. After advancing relationships with ripening professionals at Fruit Attraction in Madrid, the company will exhibit at the IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show October 17 and 18.
At Fruit Attraction, the company demonstrated the simplicity, safety, and cost-effectiveness of its Easy-Ripe® generators and Ethy-Gen® II concentrate to an international audience. "We were able to advance ourselves in the minds of many prospects, who are giving us the opportunity to show how our ethylene application systems are superior to other methods," said Greg Akins, president and CEO. "We have invested a large amount of time and money toward EU approvals, so now's the time to start helping EU ripeners with better ethylene."
Visitors shared positive experiences with the system, describing it as simple, safe, and effective for small- and large-scale ripening centers. "Some visitors stopped by to say thank you for inventing a system that makes ethylene effortless, and the simplest part of their ripening operations," said Akins. "We pointed this out to prospects as well. When they requested that we explain, they understood the advantages and wanted us to follow up with them to continue talks."

The growing scale of the show also stood out. "It's growing significantly and presents many qualified prospects. There were some visitors who use our Easy-Ripe already, and expressed how effective and simple it is to create ethylene, in small-scale or very large ripening centers. We met with several large ripeners who are interested in switching to our ethylene systems," added Akins.
With Fruit Attraction complete, the company now turns to the show in Anaheim. The IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show provides an opportunity to engage with established and new customers. "We've been doing this for over 50 years, starting in the U.S., so connecting with our large North American base of customers is very important," Akins explained. "As exhibitors at IFPA for more than 40 years, we understand the value of the exposure it brings to our products. Also, with its global audience, we meet foreign clients and prospective ones. So, reinforcing our brand and reconnecting with customers is the main focus."
As a worldwide supplier with a singular focus on ethylene application, the company views these shows as essential for strengthening ties. "We're a worldwide supplier focusing on a single product, so exposure at the world's largest fresh produce trade shows helps us to spread the word about the easy to use ethylene application systems," said Akins.
Attendees of the IFPA show can find the company at booth #2537.
