In Kyrgyzstan, quarantine-controlled products inspected for export

As of August 1, 2024, specialists from the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine have inspected 372,400 tons and 11,251,486 units of quarantine-controlled products destined for export to ensure they meet quarantine phytosanitary requirements as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan.

In the first seven months of 2024, 188,763 tons, or approximately 51% of the total quarantine-controlled products inspected, were exported to Russia. The exported goods include 22,580 tons of cabbage, 4,061 tons of garlic, 19,831 tons of carrots, 11,632 tons of onions, 4,824 tons of watermelon, 10,730 tons of apricots, 13,295 tons of cherries, 3,089 tons of plums, 5,606 tons of potatoes, 3,155 tons of strawberries, 18,078 tons of walnuts, 291,738 units of berry plant seedlings, 2,017,581 units of fruit tree seedlings, 8,226,323 units of flower seedlings, among others.

Before export, all quarantine-controlled products undergo quarantine phytosanitary examination in plant quarantine laboratories.
