Over 85 % of fresh products exported to Russia

Armenian export of fresh fruits and vegetables surges

As of August 14, Armenia has exported a remarkable 88,200 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, marking a significant increase of 7,200 tons compared to the same period last year released by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

The exported products consist of a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, including around 33,300 tons of apricots, 12,000 tons of apples, 2,500 tons of peaches, 2,300 tons of cherries, 1,700 tons of plums, 10,000 tons of tomatoes, 6,300 tons of peppers, 5,300 tons of potatoes, and 4,800 tons of cucumbers, among others.

A significant majority—75,600 tons or 85.7%—of these exports are destined for Russia. The remaining exports were distributed among several other countries, including Georgia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine, the UAE, Latvia, Poland, Uzbekistan, Qatar, Germany, and Turkmenistan.
