States held 66.8 million cwt in storage on June 1, 2024, up 19 percent from June 1, 2023. Potatoes in storage accounted for 15 percent of the 2023 production compared with 14 percent a year earlier. The indicated potato disappearance, at 374 million cwt, was up 8 percent from the same period last year.
