This April, the EU calculated orange price (in € per 100 kgs) came in at €93.17. That is an 1.81% drop compared to the number from April 2023. It is also 17% higher than the 5-year average.
In Spain, orange prices came out at €82 per 100 kgs, which is about 16% higher than the 5-year average, and an 8.52% drop YoY.
Production of oranges in 2023 stood at a total of 5,746,000 tons, with Spain, Italy and Greece supplying the largest shares.
