Miyazaki mangoes debut in Karachi, Pakistan

Red and purple 'Miyazaki' mangoes, originating from Japan, have been introduced in Karachi, Pakistan, with a price of Rs 300,000 per kilogram. These mangoes, known for their unique color and flavor, are now being cultivated successfully in Karachi's intense heat, marking a significant addition to Pakistan's mango industry, traditionally dominated by varieties like Chaunsa and Sindhri.

A local farmer highlighted the distinctiveness of the Miyazaki mangoes, noting their unusual red and purple hues and their premium global market price. The successful pilot cultivation in Karachi's Malir area suggests potential for expanded production across the country.
