Natore district announces start dates for mango and litchi harvesting

The Natore district administration has announced the commencement dates for mango and litchi harvesting this season. The Gopalbhog mango variety will start being harvested on May 25, as stated by the deputy commissioner Abu Naser Bhuiya. The decision was reached during a meeting held at the DC office.

Following the Gopalbhog, the harvesting of Ranipasand mango is set for May 30, with Khirsapati on June 5, Laxmanbhog or Lakhna on June 12, Lengra on June 20, Mohonbhog on June 25, and both Amrapali and Haribhanga from June 25 until August 20. Additionally, the Mozaffar variety litchi will begin being harvested on May 20, and the Bombay litchi or China-3 on May 27. This agricultural season, Natore has dedicated 4,500 hectares to mango cultivation and 1,000 hectares to litchi.
