The primary source for these imports continued to be Ecuador, solidifying its position as the top exporter of bananas to Uzbekistan for the period of 2022-2023.
The total importation value for 2023 stood at $95.1 million, a notable increase from 2022's $63.4 million, according to the Statistics Agency. The breakdown of banana imports to Uzbekistan by country in 2023 is as follows: Ecuador leading with 130,000 tons, followed by China (1,043 tons), Georgia (976 tons), Türkiye (746 tons), and Kazakhstan (375 tons).
