Disruptions on A9 highway and blockade on AP-7

Anger spreads among Spanish farmers

In response to a call from the Unió de Pagesos union, Spanish farmers mobilized once again on Tuesday, February 13th, with a blockade of the AP-7 highway and significant disruptions on the A9, in the Pyrénées-Orientales region.

“Due to demonstrations in Spain on AP-7, truck traffic has been interrupted at the French/Spanish border. Trucks are invited to turn around at this level to resume their route towards Lyon,” according to Vinci Autoroutes. The blockades are expected to last until 10am on the 14th of February.

Trucks are unable to travel beyond Le Perthus. In the Spain-France direction, exit #43 at Le Boulou is closed to all vehicles (except trucks bound for Distriport Le Boulou).
