Azerbaijan's almond imports surged in the January-November period of 2023, marking significant growth compared to the same period in 2022.
According to data from the State Statistical Committee referenced by ABC.AZ, the country imported 693 tons of almonds valued at $3,744,000 in 2023. This represents a significant increase of $1,136,000 or 43.6% in value and 235 tons or 51.2% in quantity compared to the year before.
The import price per ton of almonds averaged $5,399 during the 11 months in 2023, slightly lower than the $5,685 recorded for the same period in 2022, marking a decrease of 5%.
Overall, the cost of importing 1 kilogram of almonds in January-November 2023 stood at €5, compared to €5.25 for the corresponding period in 2022.
