Capogreco Farms in Western Australia have been working with the Orange Candy melon since 2016 and have been given the exclusive marketing right in Australia and New Zealand, starting this year.
“We are targeting all high-end value markets as this melon is consistently sweet, high quality and has a flavour that consumers can trust and enjoy. We will be marketing the Orange Candy melon both 
domestically and into our export markets along with our traditional melon varieties,” said Dane Capogreco, Sales and Marketing Director.
“We grow the melons all year round on our farms between Hamel, 100km South of Perth and Broome 2500km North of Perth in Western Australia.”
According to Dane anyone who tastes the melon enjoys the eating qualities, “Even people who do not usually eat melons are surprised by its unique qualities and we hope will turn them into regular melon eaters. To further promote the melon, we will eventually start working with retailers to conduct instore taste testing so consumers can really see, and taste for themselves this new variety.”
