France: “Committed CSR” label for the Pomona Group

AFNOR has awarded the Pomona Group with the “committed CSR'' label for its networks TerreAzur, PassionFroid, EpiSaveurs, Délice&Création and Saveurs d’Antoine. It recognizes the group’s commitment, for many years, in terms of Social Responsibility, through many committed actions, product innovations, the efficiency of its organization and the capacity of the group to help its employees grow. This level of maturity is remarkable for a company of this size and a first label.

The committed employees have worked actively to illustrate and prove the integration and management of the social, environmental and economic impacts of the group’s activities. External stakeholders have also testified.

According to Bruno Mantovani, quality and CSR director, “obtaining this label allows the Pomona Group to attest and enhance its CSR commitment to its stakeholders. This is a structuring step that encourages us to continue our actions, while remaining loyal to our mission which is to help food professionals to better feed their clients.”

The CSR approach was evaluated according to more than 50 criteria based on ISO 26000, a standard that establishes guidelines for Corporate Social Responsibility and on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The areas investigated included: governance, human rights, work relations and conditions, the environment, consumer issues, fair practices, communities and local development. The associated indicators and performance levels were also considered.
